Brand identity for Resonance, ElevenLabs' voice AI developer conference.
ElevenLabs asked me to explore creative directions for Resonance, its developer conference for voice AI in San Francisco. The brief was to stretch the brand, not follow it. ElevenLabs already uses Chladni patterns as its geometric outlines, so rather than repeat them I turned to cymatics: the same phenomenon, with water as the medium instead of sand.
Where Chladni patterns are sharp and geometric, cymatics are fluid, organic, and luminous. Both are sound made visible, so the difference is in texture and tone, not meaning. Resonance stands apart while staying aligned with its parent brand, and if the event becomes annual, the imagery can keep evolving from the same idea.
The identity is a modular system built for the dozens of assets a conference generates, from posters and badges to signage, social, slides, and video. A kinetic logo built from the name, an expandable library of cymatic illustrations, a modular grid, and a bold, high-contrast palette can be remixed endlessly, consistent but never rigid. The illustrations make it instantly recognisable, the modularity lets it adapt to any format, and the colours come from the warmer, more saturated end of ElevenLabs’ spectrum: the same family, with the volume turned up.
